Call for Mentors

The Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN) of the USAID’s SEED, in cooperation with Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), is looking for 20-25 aspiring female mentors to coach and lead potential women entrepreneurs and support their business ideas. Over the past three years, USAID’s SEED has been always keen on including mentorship to its interventions of Entrepreneurship Programs, StartUp Weekends and Business Plan Competitions.

The current eco-system in Egypt has insufficient groups of mentors that are constantly being used to serve startups and entrepreneurs [less than 100]. The demand for new mentors is vital to the healthy growth of the eco-system. We would like to provide the eco-system with a broader range of people: create a new group of mentors, specifically women, to provide fresh perspective and expertise to the eco-system.

The aim of mentorship is to support women entrepreneurs in implementing their own ideas and to develop them into successful startups and businesses. To facilitate and share knowledge, contacts in local Egyptian eco-system, share experiences and positively affect the Egyptian economy.

  • A milestone tool to measure progress and help set goals for the mentorship relationship should be utilized during the mentorship program. These goals and milestones will be set at the beginning of the program. These milestones will be helpful for continuous updating on the mentorship program.

  • Ability to cascade the mentorship knowledge to your circles (whether it be within their organization, incubator, Business Development Center or as an influential person in your field).
